The broad goal of both the productivity and reform challenges is to improve NHS performance and hence the quality of patient care. But both challenges have inherent uncertainties and given the pace at which changes in service delivery and performance are likely to occur, their impact on key indicators of NHS performance will need to be understood in evaluating progress. This monitoring report is the first of a regular quarterly review, which will combine publicly available data on selected NHS performance measures with views from a panel of finance directors on the key issues their organisations are facing. It complements our monthly waiting times tracker and is a continuation of work that we have done historically to assess, analyse and report on the performance of the NHS. We have chosen the indicators that we believe are important to the public and patients and that provide measures of the impact of tackling the productivity and reform challenges confronting the NHS. These include:  key performance challenges, workforce and redundancies and waiting times."],"date_published_tesim":["2011"],"date_published_ssi":"2011","official_url_tesim":["http://www.kingsfund.org.uk/publications/how-nhs-performing-quarterly-monitoring-report-april-2011"],"pagination_tesim":["12p."],"place_of_publication_tesim":["London"],"creator_tesim":["Poteliakhoff, Emmi","The King's Fund","Appleby, John"],"date_tesim":["2011"],"date_ssi":"2011","publisher_tesim":["King's Fund"],"subject_tesim":["performance monitoring","quality of patient care","patient waiting time","workforce","NHS reforms","productivity","staffing"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/downloads/v118rd53f?file=thumbnail","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-managing","admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_ids_ssim":["v118rd53f"],"file_set_ids_ssim":["v118rd53f"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Published Work"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["batchuser@example.com"],"nesting_collection__pathnames_ssim":["000098898"],"nesting_collection__deepest_nested_depth_isi":1,"_version_":1714885056323911680,"timestamp":"2021-10-28T17:23:53.805Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Poteliakhoff, Emmi","hits":3,"label":"Poteliakhoff, Emmi"},{"value":"The King's Fund","hits":3,"label":"The King's Fund"},{"value":"Appleby, John","hits":2,"label":"Appleby, John"},{"value":"Thompson, James","hits":1,"label":"Thompson, James"}],"label":"Author"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"NHS reforms","hits":2,"label":"NHS reforms"},{"value":"performance monitoring","hits":2,"label":"performance monitoring"},{"value":"productivity","hits":2,"label":"productivity"},{"value":"NHS","hits":1,"label":"NHS"},{"value":"NHS hospitals","hits":1,"label":"NHS hospitals"},{"value":"acute care","hits":1,"label":"acute care"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Monograph","hits":1,"label":"Monograph"}],"label":"Resource type"},{"name":"date_range_sim","items":[{"value":"2011","hits":3,"label":"2011"}],"label":"Date Range"},{"name":"file_format_sim","items":[],"label":"File format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[],"label":"Collection"},{"name":"generic_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Work","hits":3,"label":"Work"}],"label":"Generic Type Sim"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":3,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
