Abstract
  • This book provides a detailed discussion of the organisation of postgraduate medical education in the NHS, and the administrative and financial implications if changes are to be made. The material is organised within a 'demand and supply' framework: demand from employers, notably the NHS, and supply provided by various institutions (NHS, universities, royal colleges etc). The areas of responsibility and financial commitments of these institutions and of government departments are identified.
