Abstract
  • In June 1979, the King's Fund arranged a two-day seminar for nurse managers to consider the Thwaites Report "The Education and Training of Senior Managers in the National Health Service." Following the seminar, a group of senior nurse managers and educators with a responsibility for management training met regularly at the King's Fund Centre. The collected papers of the group are presented in the report with a discussion of possible approaches to the preparation of senior nurse managers.
