Abstract
  • The study days were held in an effort to share common knowledge and experience. Different ways of providing information were considered, such as the role of the provincial newspaper DIAL - Disablement and Advice Line; the provision of information about the DHSS benefits system by Disability Alliance. Practical problems facing disabled people e.g. vulnerability of newly disabled people; access; home care and housing were discussed in syndicate groups. The second study day continued these themes and looked at contacts in the hospital and the transfer of people back to the community.
