Abstract

This research was carried out at the request of the Northern Ireland Health and Social Services department to complement the work undertaken by the King's Fund for the NHS Executive on the English Patient's Charter. The aims were to establish whether patients, carers and staff views and experiences of the Patient's Charter were the same as or similar to those of English patients, carers and staff; to explore the range of views and experiences of social services clients and staff in relation to the social care elements of the Northern Ireland Charter.
